LATTICE ANNOUNCES IP CORE COOPERATION WITH DIGITAL CORE DESIGN - Digital Core Design Optimizes Their IP Cores for Lattice's ispXPGATM and ORCA FPGA/FPSC Devices as Founding Member of Lattice's ispLeverCORETM Connection Program - HILLSBORO, OR, USA/BYTOM, POLAND - SEPTEMBER 2, 2003 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced a partnership with Digital Core Design (DCD) that will allow the companies to better serve customers' needs for Intellectual Property (IP) implemented on Lattice's programmable logic devices (PLDs). By joining Lattice's ispLeverCORE Connection IP partners program as a founding member, DCD will be actively supported by Lattice in its efforts to provide optimized IP solutions for Lattice Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Field Programmable System Chip (FPSC) devices. Lattice's IP partners program is designed to allow customers to easily access and integrate many 3rd-party IP products on Lattice programmable devices. "Lattice is pleased to partner with Digital Core Design, an IP company with an extensive portfolio that specializes in improved architectures for MPU/MCUs, floating point unit (FPU) co-processors, and peripherals. DCD is also committed to providing total customer solutions, which can be seen in the debugging software and hardware they've developed for their 8051 and 80390 processor cores. We're very excited to add DCD products such as their FPUs and 8-bit microcontroller cores to the Lattice extended IP product line," said Stan Kopec, Lattice Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Tomek Krzyzak, VCEO of Digital Core Design stated: "Lattice has highly-differentiated programmable products such as its ispXPGA family and ORCA FPSCs that will drive our IP into new applications. We're eager to partner with such a reputable semiconductor supplier, and to make our high-quality IP Cores readily available to Lattice customers worldwide." Connection Cores from DCD For the launch of the ispLeverCORE Connection program, Digital Core Design has ported, optimized, and tested a selection of their flagship IP cores on Lattice FPGA devices. The initial Connection Cores from DCD are shown below. Check the Lattice website for up-to-date information on DCD's Connection Cores. Bus Interface Cores
These Connection Cores are available in netlist format for immediate purchase from Digital Core Design. DCD also offers a variety of additional packaging and licensing options to suit customer's specific needs. By leveraging partner products, customers can quickly implement a wide variety of functions in Lattice programmable devices. About Lattice Semiconductor
